Ray Schwarcz will be here May 18, 2014 at 5 p.m. to teach us about the Jewish celebration of Yom Kippur. According to Wikipedia, it is known as Day of Atonement, is the holiest day of the year for the Jewish people.[1] Its central themes are atonement and repentance. Jewish people traditionally observe this holy day with an approximate 25-hour period of fasting and intensive prayer, often spending most of the day in synagogue services. You will not want ot miss this time to deepen your faith by understanding the foundations God built in the Old Testament.
